Lisa Eisenberg

Lisa Eisenberg is a professional violinist and 30-year public school music educator.

She began her violin studies at the age of 11 in her home town of Billings, Montana. During those early years Lisa was greatly inspired by her private violin teachers, as well as her high school orchestra director. This early and rich inspiration led Lisa to pursue a degree in Music Education at the University of Wyoming where she studied with Australian violinist, Mr. Brian Hanley. Lisa then went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Violin Performance at Arizona State University where she studied with both Dr. Phyllis Skoldberg and Dr. William Magers.

After completing her formal education Lisa began her string teaching career in Gilbert Public Schools, and over a span of 30 years taught in multiple school districts and various educational settings. Lisa feels honored to have served so many young musicians during her long and diverse public education career.

Throughout her many teaching years Lisa continued to play professionally in the metro Phoenix area. She is a 30-year member of the West Valley Symphony and a 21-year member of the Musica Nova Orchestra. In addition to her orchestral playing, Lisa has also performed in musical theatre and is currently active as a church musician.

Mrs. Eisenberg is passionate about passing on the gift of music to her students just as her dedicated teachers did for her. Lisa believes that as musicians of any age we are always growing and learning. As a violin instructor she is focused on meeting the needs, goals, and musical potential of each and every student. She understands that each learner (child or adult) comes to their lessons as a unique individual…a person seeking to find their own most beautiful.
