Casidy Nielsen is a gifted music teacher with a broad musical background. Not only is she a pianist and accompanist but she is also an accomplished violist. Casidy earned her associates degree in fine arts from Scottsdale Community College where she was also awarded Instrumentalist of the Year. She then earned her Bachelors of Music Education from Arizona State University with emphasis in piano and viola.
She has been a piano instructor at MWC since 2018; in addition, Casidy teaches the PRELUDE Piano Program classes at Music Works. She has been an instructor in an after-school music program at Montessori Day School and an on-staff as an accompanist at Waldorf Desert Marigold School in Phoenix. Miss Nielsen has been the instructor for Summer Piano Classes at All Saints Episcopal Day School Summer Camp 2018 -2021. Ms. Nielsen is uniquely qualified to link together a wide variety of music experiences for her students. Along with her considerable skills with piano and viola, she is is a turn-tablist and DJ.
